A peering slot allowlists one of your node IPs on Dwellir’s peering infrastructure. You send the public IP, Dwellir reserves it on both peers.

Your Hyperliquid node keeps one peer connection that actually feeds it. If that peer is slow, your node is slow. If it drops, your node stops.
The community root peers from the gossipRootIps API are shared and oversubscribed. Their addresses change and their slots fill, so the peer that worked yesterday may not take you today.
When your node loses its peer it stops advancing, falls behind the tip, and restarts sync. Downstream that means stale order books, missing fills, and gaps in whatever you write to disk.
Your node’s IP sits in reserved_peer_ips on both Dwellir peers. A slot is held for you whether or not the network is busy, and you know which machine you are pulling from.
Hyperliquid uses them for gossip. A node that rejects inbound connections on these ports is deprioritized by every peer in the network.
Dwellir allowlists that exact address. Dynamic IPs and large NAT ranges do not work.
Peering is for the non-validator node you operate yourself.
Email support or DM Telegram with the public IP of each node you want to peer and the region it runs in. Expect your peer IPs within one business day.
Dwellir adds each node IP to reserved_peer_ips on both peers and returns two peer addresses. Subscribers also get a shared Telegram or Slack Connect channel with the team.
Write the two peer IPs Dwellir sent you into ~/override_gossip_config.json in place of the placeholders. Keep try_new_peers false so the node talks to the Dwellir peers and nothing else. Set split_client_blocks to true if you need the mempool.

Yes. Each node needs its own peering slot at $500/month, because a slot allowlists one node IP. Each node also needs its own static egress IP.
Send the new address to Dwellir support by email or on Telegram, and keep the old one running until the change is confirmed. With try_new_peers set to false, an unallowlisted node has nothing to fall back to and stops syncing.
No. You receive full gossip, the same stream Dwellir’s own nodes consume.
No. The gRPC streaming API, Order Book WebSocket, and Info endpoint all run on Dwellir infrastructure, which sits on the same peering backbone. Buy peering only if you run your own nodes and want more reliable peers.
No. Every peering subscriber gets the same peers, the same configuration, and the same priority. Dwellir’s own infrastructure runs on these peers on the same terms.
Peering gives your node a reliable upstream. It does not give you data services. If you would rather consume Hyperliquid data than run a node, start here.
