Best Stable Blockchain RPC Providers 2026: Complete Infrastructure Guide for the Stablechain

Best Stable Blockchain RPC Providers 2026: Complete Infrastructure Guide for the Stablechain

By Ben Chatwin 17min read

Stable is the world's first "Stablechain," a Layer 1 blockchain using USDT as its native gas token, delivering gas-free peer-to-peer transfers at 10,000+ TPS. With $28 million in backing from Bitfinex, Hack VC, and PayPal Ventures, Stable mainnet launched in late 2025, bringing unique RPC infrastructure requirements. Your provider choice determines whether your stablecoin application can leverage protocol-level gas-free transfers while managing costs at Stable's transaction volumes.

What is Stable Blockchain?

Stable represents a fundamental shift in blockchain economics. It is the first Layer 1 designed specifically for stablecoin payments with native USDT gas fees and protocol-level zero-fee P2P transfers.

Technical Architecture

Stable combines proven consensus mechanisms with a novel stablecoin-first design. Built on StableBFT (CometBFT/Tendermint-based Proof of Stake), the network targets 10,000+ TPS with a theoretical scale to over 200,000 TPS. It features sub-second finality with ~0.73 second block times and full EVM compatibility supporting Solidity, Hardhat, and ethers.js. Uniquely, Stable uses USDT0 as its native gas token (18 decimals natively, 6 as an ERC-20), which replaced gUSDT in February 2026.

Key Performance Metrics

Block Time0.73s12s16x faster
FinalitySub-second12-18 min~1,000x faster
Gas TokenUSDTETHStablecoin-native
P2P Transfer Cost$0 (protocol)VariableZero-fee

Why This Matters for RPC Selection

Stable's stablecoin-native architecture creates unique infrastructure demands. Gas estimation returns USDT-denominated values instead of ETH equivalents, and protocol-level zero-fee P2P transfers require special transaction fee handling. At 10,000+ TPS throughput, request volumes can easily reach 50-500 million monthly for moderately active applications. Pricing model differences that seem negligible on Ethereum become major cost drivers on Stable.

Critical requirements for infrastructure include USDT-aware gas estimation, pricing that scales sustainably with high volumes, and WebSocket stability for sub-second block subscriptions. Robust archive node support is essential as Stable's high TPS generates massive state growth, and developers need clear pricing on trace/debug methods for transaction analysis.

How to Compare Stable Pricing Across Unit Systems

Headline rates on Stable are quoted in different units. The only way to compare them is to convert each one to dollars per million calls for the methods an application actually makes, using the weight each provider assigns to the method.

Per-request billing. One response is one unit, whatever the method. Dwellir bills this way: 1 RPC response is 1 API credit, including debug and trace methods. The Developer plan works out to $1.96 per 1M calls included, with overage at $2-5 per 1M.

Request units. Chainstack bills request units (RU) with no method weights. A request under 127 blocks behind the tip is 1 RU, a read 127 or more blocks behind is 2 RU as an archive read, and every debug_* and trace_* call is 2 RU. The Growth plan works out to $2.45 per 1M recent-block calls included, with overage at $15 per 1M.

Compute units. Alchemy charges $0.525 per 1M compute units (CU) and gives each method a weight. On Stable, eth_blockNumber is 10 CU, eth_getBalance and eth_getTransactionReceipt are 20 CU, eth_call is 26 CU, eth_sendRawTransaction and debug_traceTransaction are 40 CU, and eth_getLogs is 60 CU.

Method by method, in dollars per 1M calls at each plan's included rate:

MethodAlchemy CU WeightAlchemy (PAYG)Chainstack (Growth)Dwellir (Developer)
eth_call26$13.65$2.45$1.96
eth_getTransactionReceipt20$10.50$2.45$1.96
eth_getLogs60$31.50$2.45$1.96
eth_sendRawTransaction40$21.00$2.45$1.96
debug_traceTransaction40$21.00$4.90$1.96

Alchemy's Debug API is live on Stable on paid plans only, and its Trace API is marked "Request support" on the Stable chain page. QuickNode, which publishes per-chain credit weights, does not list Stable on its API credits page or in its docs, so it has no Stable rate to compare.

The totals later in this post use a mostly-reads payment mix: 40% eth_call, 25% eth_getTransactionReceipt, 15% eth_blockNumber, 10% eth_getLogs over small ranges, 5% eth_getBalance and 5% eth_sendRawTransaction, all on recent blocks. On that mix a Stable call averages 25.9 CU on Alchemy, so 1M calls cost $13.60 and the free 30M CU covers about 1.2M calls. On Chainstack every call in the mix is 1 RU, so 1M calls cost $2.45 on Growth. On Dwellir every call is one credit.

At Stable's 10,000 TPS throughput, the gap compounds. A trading bot making 1,000 requests per second accumulates 2.6 billion requests a month. Dwellir's 1,000 RPS Unlimited Node covers that for $4,799 flat; on Alchemy the same mix costs about $35,350 in compute units before extra throughput capacity.

Network Status and Provider Landscape

As of April 2026, Stable mainnet launched in late 2025 following a public testnet phase. The pre-deposit phase attracted $2.6 billion, though post-launch DeFi TVL has settled at $6.6 million as of April 2026. The RPC provider landscape is still small. As of October 2026, Dwellir, Chainstack and Alchemy serve Stable mainnet (chain ID 988), and Stable runs a free public mainnet endpoint alongside its testnet (chain ID 2201).

Important: Stable is a newly launched network. Provider support is evolving rapidly. Verify current support status directly with providers before production deployment. We will continuously update this article as more providers announce support for the network.

1. Dwellir - Transparent Pricing for Stablecoin Infrastructure

Dwellir

Best suited for production applications requiring predictable costs, Dwellir provides mainnet Stable RPC infrastructure starting at $49/month. Their transparent 1:1 pricing model (1 response = 1 credit) eliminates method multipliers, which matters on Stable's high throughput: on Alchemy an eth_getLogs call weighs 60 CU and debug_traceTransaction 40 CU. The endpoint is https://api-stable-mainnet.n.dwellir.com/<your-api-key>, with WSS on the same host. Testnet access is available on request.

Key Strengths

Dwellir provides true 1:1 pricing where every method costs the same, with no trace or debug premiums. The platform supports 150+ blockchain networks with unified authentication, crypto payment on every paid plan, and relies on globally distributed bare-metal infrastructure backed by a 99.99% uptime SLA. With continuous expansion of node locations and native USDT gas handling, Dwellir is optimized for Stable's high-performance architecture.

500 RPS$2,3991.3B$1.85
1,000 RPS$4,7992.6B$1.85

The Unlimited Node is flat and unmetered on the same endpoint URL and API key. A dedicated Stable node cluster lists at $4,860 per month with unlimited RPS and responses.

Considerations: The Stable network page lists Trace and Debug APIs on the Unlimited Node and dedicated cluster, but does not state whether the shared endpoints run archive or full nodes, so confirm archive depth before relying on historical state. Only mainnet is listed on the network page.

Cost Efficiency Example

For a stablecoin payment application making 100M monthly requests on the payment mix above:

  • Dwellir: $299 (Growth plan, no multipliers)
  • Alchemy: about $1,360 (25.9 CU average per call at $0.525 per 1M CU)

Stable-Specific Advantages

Dwellir natively handles USDT-denominated gas estimation and protocol-level zero-fee P2P transfers. The infrastructure supports sub-second block time WebSocket subscriptions, with testnet nodes available to be deployed on request for pre-production testing.

2. Chainstack - Archive and Trace on Shared Nodes

Chainstack

Suited to payment teams that want archive and trace data on a shared endpoint, Chainstack serves Stable mainnet (chain ID 988) on Global Nodes and Dedicated Nodes, in full and archive mode, with Debug and Trace APIs. Its docs list no Stable testnet. Billing is in request units with no method weights, which puts it closest to Dwellir on unit design. View Chainstack Pricing

Key Capabilities

Chainstack's networks table lists Stable on Global Nodes (full and archive) and Dedicated Nodes, with Debug and Trace APIs. WebSocket is on all plans. The company holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, supports 70+ chains and accepts crypto payment. An Unlimited Node add-on starts at $149 per month for 25 RPS, and Dedicated Nodes start from the Pro plan with compute from $0.50 per hour plus storage.

Pricing

PlanMonthly CostRequest UnitsRPSEffective $/1M CallsOverage $/1M Calls

Business$499200M600$2.50$10.00
Enterprisefrom $990400MCustom$2.48$5.00

A request under 127 blocks behind the tip costs 1 RU; 127 or more blocks behind costs 2 RU, and debug and trace calls cost 2 RU regardless of block age. Debug, trace and archive data start on Growth.

Limitations

Overage runs $10-20 per 1M below Enterprise, against $2-5 on Dwellir, and old-state reads and traces cost double. The payment mix lands at $2.45 per 1M calls on Growth against $1.96 on Dwellir's Developer plan. Testnet is not listed for Stable.

3. Alchemy - Comprehensive Developer Platform

Alchemy

Ideal for teams needing full-stack Web3 tooling alongside RPC access, Alchemy offers a compute unit pricing model ranging from free to custom tiers. Stable mainnet (chain ID 988) is live on Alchemy at https://stable-mainnet.g.alchemy.com/v2/<api-key> with a matching WebSocket URL, and testnet is available too. Their platform includes extensive developer tools, though the compute unit model can become costly at scale. View Alchemy Pricing

Key Capabilities

Alchemy's Stable page lists the RPC API, Debug API, Bundler API, WebSockets and Gas Manager as live. The Trace API, Transfers, Token, NFT and Prices APIs and Webhooks are marked "Request support" on Stable. Developers also get a detailed dashboard for monitoring and debugging.

EnterpriseCustomCustomCustomCustom

Extra PAYG throughput costs $160 per month per 5,000 CU/s block, up to a 30,000 CU/s self-serve cap.

Limitations

Compute unit weights make the bill depend on the method mix: eth_getLogs costs 60 CU, or $31.50 per 1M log queries, and the payment mix lands at $13.60 per 1M requests. The free 30M CU covers about 1.2M Stable requests, and the Debug and Trace APIs are not included on the Free plan.

4. Stable Native Public Endpoints - For Development Only

Best for initial development and testing, Stable provides free public RPC endpoints for both mainnet and testnet. Stable's docs rate-limit both to 1,000 requests per 10 seconds per IP, with HTTP 429 above that, and point production traffic to third-party providers.

Public Endpoints:

  • Mainnet HTTP RPC: https://rpc.stable.xyz (WebSocket wss://rpc.stable.xyz)
  • Testnet HTTP RPC: https://rpc.testnet.stable.xyz (WebSocket wss://rpc.testnet.stable.xyz)

Limitations

These endpoints are rate-limited and best-effort, with no SLA or guarantees on availability. The mainnet endpoint is pruned: a balance query at block 1 returned "lowest height is 38429001" on 2026-09-28. They are shared infrastructure with unpredictable latency, making them unsuitable for production applications.

Additional Blockchain Services

While RPC providers handle transaction broadcasting and state interaction, other tools are essential for a complete development workflow.

StableScan (Block Explorer)

StableScan serves as the block explorer for the network, similar to Etherscan. It is essential for analytics, historical data lookup, contract verification, and tracking gas prices. However, it does not replace an RPC provider; it cannot broadcast transactions, execute state queries like eth_call on the current block, or provide real-time WebSocket subscriptions for dApp interactions.

Etherscan API (Multi-Chain Data)

Etherscan supports Stable through its V2 API endpoints, offering developers a familiar interface for querying blockchain data. This service allows you to programmatically access transaction history, token balances, and smart contract data using the same API patterns used on Ethereum, streamlining multi-chain development.

Pricing Comparison

Effective Price per Million Calls

One denominator for every option: dollars per 1M Stable calls under the payment mix, at the entry paid plan and at the best self-serve rate, with overage alongside.

ProviderEntry Paid PlanEffective $/1M CallsBest Self-Serve RateOverage $/1M Calls

What That Costs at Volume

Plans step at fixed tiers, so monthly bills differ from the per-million rates. Same payment mix, list prices.

Provider10M req/mo50M req/mo100M req/mo
Stable public endpoint$0 (rate-limited, no SLA)$0 (rate-limited, no SLA)$0 (rate-limited, no SLA)

Dwellir (Unlimited Node)$119$119-479$479
Chainstack$49$199$449
Alchemy~$136~$680~$1,360

The public endpoint is free but capped per IP and not meant for production. Among paid options, Dwellir costs less than Alchemy at every volume on this mix and matches Chainstack at 10M before pulling ahead at 50M and 100M (the Unlimited Node at 50M is $119 if average traffic stays under 25 RPS and $479 for the 100 RPS tier), and the gap to Alchemy widens on eth_getLogs-heavy workloads, where it charges 60 CU per call. Chainstack sits between the two; its 100M figure is Pro plus 20M of overage at $12.50.

How to Choose the Right Provider

Matching Infrastructure to Your Needs

For stablecoin payment applications, Dwellir offers transparent pricing that ensures costs scale linearly with volume. DeFi protocols benefit from Dwellir's 99.99% uptime SLA and robust WebSocket support for sub-second block subscriptions, while analytics platforms pay $1.96 per 1M debug_traceTransaction calls on Dwellir's Developer plan against $4.90 on Chainstack and $21.00 on Alchemy. Teams that want archive and trace on a shared endpoint with SOC 2 documentation can use Chainstack's Growth plan. Early-stage projects should start with the Stable native testnet for free development before migrating to Dwellir's Developer plan ($49/mo) for production-grade performance.
