# Hyperliquid Candles and OHLCV Data

Candles summarize executions into epoch-aligned open, high, low, close, volume, and trade-count buckets. Use them for charts, technical indicators, and time-bucketed activity analysis.

## V3 live candles

[StreamCandle](https://www.dwellir.com/docs/hyperliquid/stream_candle) subscribes to one coin and one interval. It supports exactly `1s`, `1m`, `3m`, `5m`, `15m`, `30m`, `1h`, `2h`, `4h`, `8h`, `12h`, and `1d`.

The stream sends the current bucket immediately when one is available. Otherwise, its first frame arrives with the next execution. Buckets are sparse, so no execution means no frame. A newer `open_time` signals rollover, and another frame with the same `open_time` replaces the earlier state of that bucket.

V3 is live-only and has no historical replay. Its payload differs from Hyperliquid Index: V3 uses descriptive fields such as `open_time`, `close_time`, and `trade_count`, while Index responses use the compact `t`, `T`, and `n` schema and add indexed-product fields such as quote volume and finalization state.

## Sample data

This synthetic V3 protobuf payload visibly redacts the market identifier:

```protobuf
coin: "<redacted-market>"
interval: "1m"
open_time: 1785736800000
close_time: 1785736859999
open: "114200.0"
high: "114275.0"
low: "114180.0"
close: "114250.0"
volume: "12.75"
trade_count: 256
```

Each frame is a complete snapshot of one bucket, not a delta.
